About BATAC

The Bay Area Tuskegee Alumni Club was originally registered as a corporation in the State of California in 1986.  The Club was extremely active for about 20 years.  In 2013, the Club was reactivated and has grown to a strong core of over 50 regular members and friends.

The Club has awarded over $40,000 in scholarships to students and provided significant mentoring to students in the past 8 years.  BATAC has been an amazing place for alumni, students and friends to engage in social and professional networking at over 60 events and major meetings in the past 8 years. These networking, fundraising and community service events include often annual events such as Off to ‘Skegee Barbecues, holiday/Christmas parties, community career fairs for high school students, Sunday afternoon plays in San Francisco, horse racing fundraisers, bar and restaurant meetups, annual meetings, young alumni brunches and dozens of planning board and membership meetings.

Please enjoy photos from many of these activities displaying interactions between students, alumni, donors and friends.  Many of our events are family events involving everyone from future Tuskegee Baby Tigers to members who have celebrated their golden graduation anniversaries from Tuskegee.

We are so very grateful to alumni and donor friends who have worked diligently to build a stable, yet dynamic organization focused on meeting its major goals with success and sustainability.  Special thanks to all the alumni who love Tuskegee and are committed to ensuring that future students have similar excellent growth experiences, as we had at Tuskegee.
