Scholarship Description and Applications
The Bay Area Tuskegee Alumni Club is proud to be able to provide scholarships to support Bay Area Tuskegee students. We are dedicated to assisting Tuskegee University in recruiting and retaining students who demonstrate exceptional academic and leadership competencies, along with a commitment to improving the world.
Needs Based Scholarships
Applications will be due 3 weeks prior to the beginning of each academic semester. Specific dates will be posted on the BATAC website, based on the Tuskegee University calendar. Applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decisions within two weeks after the review of all submissions.
1) Applicants should be aware that BATAC scholarships are intended for students who have exhausted all other sources of aid, and for whom an emergency needs-based scholarship is essential to their continued study at the University.
2) Although there will be two formal application review processes--fall and winter -- emergency needs-based applications may be submitted and reviewed at any time, if funds are available.
3) Freshmen are not eligible for BATAC Needs-based scholarships. Applicants must be matriculating sophomore through senior level students.
BATAC Merit-Based Leadership Scholarships

1) Applications may be submitted at any time during the academic year by freshmen through senior level students who have at least a 2.50 grade point average.
2) Students must have been selected to make a professional presentation at a professionally recognized conference or meeting.
